Basic Computer Class In this course, you will learn about a computer and what the components that consist in a computer and what they are for. Such as the connections, otherwise known as input/output ports, and what they are for, cpu (Co-Processing Unit), Memory, Storage, Chipsets, Expansion Slots, and will learn about basic navigation in Windows, and basic maintenance, to keep your computer running smoothly. You will also learn in this class on how to bookmark favorite websites, how to save files and where you should save them and how to find them later. You will learn also how to email and what different types of email there are, such as imapi and POP3, and how to send attachments, and understand about size of attachments that are acceptable and what are not acceptable, and we will also go over virus protection and theft identity. Intermediate Computer Class In this course, you will get a more advance lesson in navigation in windows. You will learn more about the different types of files, such as documents, pictures, music. You will learn how to edit these different types of files and learn about different types of programs that associate with these files. You will learn how to download from the internet, programs and files and where to save them, and also learn the ins and outs of backing up your important files. There are many different types and ways of backing up your important files, such as pictures, documents, and music. You will also learn about many different types of hardware that you can add to your computer system, such as printers, scanners, camera’s, and more. We will discuss installing software, for these devices as well. We will be also discussing installing many other different types of programs and how to un-install programs. We will be also learning a little about troubleshooting minor problems that may occur, and discussing ways to resolve those issues. We will also discuss what to look for when shopping for your pc. There are many different things that you should know when shopping. Knowledge of your PC, and what system requirements are needed to run the software are important when shopping. We will also be discussing the many different types of internet there are available today, and also learning about the different types of devices that go with the internet. We will also discuss the different types of safety programs that are available to protect you and your family from websites This class will be somewhere between 2 to 3 hours in length and costs only $40.
